The ALDON Committee wishes to thank you for your previous interest in the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast and extends to you an invitation to our 47th annual event.  The breakfast is sponsored by the Albany Dougherty National Prayer Committee (ALDON) and will be held 6:30 AM Thursday February 1st, 2024 at Merry Acres Event Center 1500 Dawson Road, Albany, Georgia 31707.
 
The purpose of the breakfast is to join in prayer with others for our city, nation and world.  We believe that prayer to God is the key to overcome the challenges we face in our Good Life City.  This year our featured speakers will be: Joy Smith Griffin, Director, World Missionary, Evangelist and Author from Carrollton, Georgia.  She and husband Wes have formed ILI Team International Leadership Institute to train, educate and carry the Gospel into all the world.  Joy is a graduate of University of West Georgia and received the Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary. In 2004 she and husband Wes were honored by Asbury as the first couple to receive the Distinguished Alumni Award. She serves on the boards of Indian Springs Holiness Camp Ground, Francis Asbury Society and Good News.  Her book Jumping for Joy is a modern-day manifestation of the healing miracle from Jesus as she was paralyzed for 18 months at the age of 22 before her healing.  Congratulations to Mayor of Albany, Bo Dorough, on his reelection to serve another 4 years. He will address the community on his plans for 2024. He and wife Bonny are members of First Presbyterian Church Albany.  Our Theme:  Producing Godliness and Righteousness in our next generation.  Micah 4:1-5 “that He may teach us His ways”.  Other community leaders also will be participating in the program.
 
Tickets are available to purchase at ALDON 2406 Ashford Drive Albany, Ga. 31721.  Mail your $22 for each ticket or you may wish to purchase a table of 8 for $176. Tickets are also available for purchase at the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce 225 West Broad Ave. Albany, Ga.  You may contact Larry Price, Chair for further information.  Only 220 tickets are available for purchase and reservations are required. Deadline will be January 26th, 2024 or when tickets are sold out so get your tickets early.  
 
Thank you for your past attendance and we look forward to seeing you again Thursday February 1^st, 2024 at Merry Acres Event Center.  Serving line will be opened early at 6:15 AM.
