Albany Pink Walk for Breast Cancer 2014
Albany Pink 2014 Walk for Breast Cancer will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. The event will be hosted by Albany Motorcars and BMW of Albany located at 801 E. Oglethorpe Blvd., Albany, GA 31705. Please see www.albanymotorcars.com for more information and to register online. Register early before January 15, 2014 and save $10!
DONATIONS
The proceeds from the Albany Pink Walk for Breast Cancer will benefit local breast cancer patients of Carlton Breast Center thru the MaryLynn Mason Endowment Fund of Phoebe Foundation. Qualified patients will be provided direct financial assistance for pain/nausea medication not covered by insurance, as well as lodging for patients outside the Albany area (within the service region) during early-morning treatments.
EVENT SCHEDULE
Registration will begin at 8:30, with snacks and a short ceremony to honor survivors prior to our first steps. Walkers should begin finishing around 11:30, with prizes and lunch following. At any point you feel you need to be shuttled back to the finish area, you may call one of our shuttle vans listed on your registration badge.
CREW POSITIONS
B’rest stop workers, registration clerks, traffic & security, motorcycle crew, or bicycle crew positions are available. Please consider one of these positions if you are unable to walk.
