The Georgia Charter Schools Association is hosting a free community information meeting in Albany, GA about tuition-free charter public schools and education reform.
Learn what charter schools are, how they are launched, and how they are raising the bar on student achievement.
You will also have the chance to hear from the leaders of Albany Charter Academy of Scholars, a proposed charter public school for the Albany community.
WHEN: Monday, June 23, 6:30 – 8:00 pm, Harvest Moon Pizza, 2347 Dawson Road, Albany, GA 31707 – Free Pizza and refreshments will be provided for the first 50 people to sign up.
WHO: RaShaun Holliman, Director of Outreach, Andrew Lewis, Executive VP of the Georgia Charter Schools Association, and Steven Quinn, Field Coordinator for Students First GA will make a short presentation and answer your questions.
WHY: Several charter school petitions have been proposed, or are in the planning stages, by parents, teachers and community groups in Southwest Georgia. Learn more about the opportunities offered by tuition-free public charter schools and how you can get involved.
