Nature of Work: Responsible for coordinating programs for MALES Mentors. Work closely with Executive Director with recruiting and enrolling male students annually. Monitor annual cohort freshman while engaging students to impact university retention and graduation rates. Supervise mentorship training for students. Adhere to University's compliance regarding procedures and policies. Responsible for arranging, planning, marketing, and evaluations of all programs. Responsible for assisting with the administration of the daily operations in the event that the Executive Director is out of office. Assist with semester and end of year reports and conduct program evaluations. Provide on-site supervision of programs and activities.  
Training and Experience: A bachelors degree in related area field of study and at a least 2 years of leadership development training and coaching with peers required. 5 years experience in an administrative support role preferred. A strong interest in working with students, faculty & staff members, as well as community groups. Strong written, communication skills and pleasant personality is a must. Must be willing to travel as required by the job. Must be knowledgeable of scheduling of conferences, making travel arrangements and keeping with multi-calendars. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Banner, and insight on creating web pages. Expertise in specified program areas is desirable. Experience in working in the Southwest Georgia service area communities is a plus and strong background with student programming required. Experience with National and State Accreditation and Unit Assessment.Good oral and written communication, planning, student learning. A certain level of computer/technology skills via micro soft office products (web design and maintains power point presentations etc.)  
Testing Requirements:  
Illustrative Examples of Work: Assist with the development of program/events for students enrolled in MALES Mentors on and off campus. Maintain spreadsheet of all participants while updating students regarding programs and events. Identify and make contracts with presenters to facilitate programs. Supervise mentorship training for students. Responsible for arranging/planning, marketing, and assessing/evaluating all programs. Responsible for assisting with the administration of daily operational task in the event that the Executive Director is out of office. Assist with semester and end of year reports and conduct program evaluations. Provide on-site supervision of programs and activities. Complete request for purchases for department. Promote University academic retention efforts. Assist with the daily operations of MALES and management of student workers. Assist with the University's recruitment efforts during campus visitation and requests made by Enrollment Services. Assist with the development of program initiatives, processes and events for MALES members. Assist the Community Engagement Specialist by serving as a conduit to our service area and the University. Assist in updating the MALES website. Support the public relations and marketing of MALES throughout the region and state. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
