Job Description

Southern Point is now seeking a Community Partner Relations Manager for an established Food Bank coming soon to Albany. The responsibilities for this position are to recruit, develop and maintain relationships with the Albany community area, in addition to networking with partner agencies.  This position will also be integral in developing a strategy to increase the financial resources available to support the mission of the Food Bank.

 

General responsibilities:

 

  • Mentor and support current partner agencies in the Albany network


  •  
 

  • Seek, recruit and develop new partner agencies to identify high need areas

  • Process partner agency applications, conduct initial site visit when appropriate

  • Facilitate and provide partner agency training applicable to their organizations

  • Work with existing network to increase distribution capacity and ensure effective distribution

  • Enter and maintain agency information in database and hard copy files

  • Represents the food bank at a variety of outside events

  • Research, analyze and monitor financial factors  in the environment in order to capitalize on financial opportunities

  • Coordinate outreach efforts with the community agencies and institutions to promote volunteer service at warehouse

  • Take an active role in fund raising needs for programs and coordinate marketing and public relations through the community in conjunction with the President & CEO

  • Serve as a resource in the strategic planning process for the Albany warehouse

  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required

Required Qualifications :
 

  • Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred from an accredited institution

  • Minimum three years of relevant experience in non-profit, human services or management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Requires public speaking and making presentations to various audiences

  • Ability to work independently and effectively

  • Sensitivity to diversity and the ability to work with people of different nationalities, ethnic origins and socioeconomic levels
