About Us

IK Medical Diagnostic Services was started by a nurse from Albany, Georgia, in an effort to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. She worked in emergency response, swabbing for samples and educating long-term care facilities on ways to manage and prevent further spread of the disease.

It was during that time she noticed the strain that was placed on US laboratories. At that time, a vision was placed on her to create a lab that was accessible to clients with various disparities within the community. Through that experience, the concept of a mobile site as well as a brick-and-mortar site was created.

Adding accessibility to care for all coincides with the World Health Organization (WHO) multi-pronged integrated approach of infection prevention and control (IPC) and occupation health and safety (OHS) measures.
