About Us

Elizabeth R. Gibson is a local attorney in ?Albany, Georgia. She is a member of the ?State Bar of Georgia and is current President ?of the Dougherty Circuit Bar Association. As ?a wife, mother, and Albany native, she is ?guided professionally by her devotion to her ?family and community and her passion for ?the pursuit of justice.

Prior to defense work, Elizabeth was a ?prosecutor with the Dougherty County ?District Attorney’s Office. Before then, she ?took a non-traditional route and became a ?teacher immediately after law school and ?came back to her hometown to do so. There, ?she encouraged student growth through ?innovation, exploration, and technology. She ?challenged her students to strive beyond ?their circumstances and even exposed them ?to the legal field by forming the inaugural ?Mock Trial team for her Alma Mater, ?Dougherty Comprehensive High School.

Elizabeth obtained her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Unsinkable Albany State University ?and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia School of Law. Outside of the legal arena, ?Elizabeth enjoys playing kickball, basketball, and softball. As the Immediate President of the Beta Omega ?Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, she continues to motivate the youth through public ?speaking and mentoring within her local community and surrounding counties. She also serves on the ?ministerial staff at her church, Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, and supports the youth there. ?
