Hired by the Boston Symphony in 1969 as assistant principal harpist and principal harpist of the Boston Symphony\, she was the first African-American woman to be in a major symphony orchestra. Her legacy spans the eras of Arthur Fiedler\, John Williams\, Seiji Ozawa\, James Levine\, as well as many other internationally renowned conductors. Hear her perform live with the ASO in the historic Old Mount Zion Church.
