Lunch & Learn - Dealing with Yesterday's Fraud Today!

The February 8, 2024 Lunch & Learn sponsored by Synovus will feature Enrique Fernandez, Director of Synovus' Financial Crimes Unit. Mr. Fernandez is a skilled & experienced subject matter leader, with more than 25 years within the banking industry in its fraud investigations sector. He is a bilingual SME in bank fraud, enterprise risk management, with strong partnerships in local, state, and federal agencies. Co-chair of the Florida Financial Institution Security Association and active member of Miami Electronic Crimes Task Force, US Secret Service amongst others. Currently serving as the Director of the Fraud Control Unit (FCU) at Synovus since 2017, He loves to oversee and mitigate fraud and security risks associated with all banking products and services. His responsibilities include managing the organization's both internal and external investigations minimizing financial loss through identification, mitigation, and tracking of fraudulent and suspicious activities.
