At 1, Science Saturday participants will get creative as they construct their very own planets layer by layer. This event is open to children of all ages but adult supervision is required. Prior registration is recommended because space is limited and the spots go fast. Call Programs Manager, Alex La Pierre at (229) 432-6955 to register. At 2, the Wetherbee Astronomy Series begins with a fulldome showing of Oasis in Space and is followed by an in-depth presentation about planets by Staff Astronomer, Jim Friese. He will be discussing the planetary cores of Earth, Jupiter and exoplanets or planets that are outside of our solar system.
