Wetherbee Astronomy Series Kick-Off
Explore the cosmos in the air conditioned comfort of the Wetherbee Planetarium this summer with Staff Astronomer Jim Friese! Each lecture will include a viewing of one of our full-dome shows and build upon the previous as we travel through space going from smaller objects, such as asteroids and comets, to full blown galaxies. Come build the universe with us! When: Saturday, May 23, 2 p.m.- "Rocks and Ice" Saturday, July 18, 2 p.m.- "How to Make Planet" Saturday, September 19, 2 p.m.- "Tale of Two Stars" Saturday, November 21, 2 p.m.- "Island Universes" + telescope purchasing workshop Cost: $3.50+ tax for non-members/ members free
